Denarius Moore tuvo una excelente temporada como novato con el Plata y Negro.



El recptor abierto novato Denarius Moore tuvo una temporada excepcional durante el 2011 con el Plata y Negro. A pesar de sufrir una lesión la cual le propició no jugar en tres partidos, Moore terminó la temporada con 33 recepciones para 618 yardas, con un promedio de 18.7 yardas por recepción, y cinco anotaciones. También añadió 61 yardas en cinco acarreos con una anotación.

Moore tuvo tres partidos donde acumuló mas de 100 yardas en recepciones durante su primer temporada al igual que un partido donde acumuló 94 yardas cuando enfrentaron a los Jefes de Kansas City en la jornada 16. Tuvo su mejor partido en contra de los Bills de Buffalo en la jornada dos cuando acumuló 146 yardas. También atrapó cinco pases en contra de San Diego acumulando 123 yardas y dos anotaciones. Moore fue nominado al reconocimiento Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week en tres ocasiones (Jornadas 2, 10 y 16) y lo obtuvo en dos ocasiones (Jornadas 2 y 10).

Fue seleccionado en la quinta ronda del Draft después de haber jugado en la Universidad de Tennessee. Realizó muchas jugadas espectaculares incluyendo una que hizo con la punta de los dedos en San Diego así como muchas otras donde le arrancó el balón a los jugadores defensivos o simplemente los dejo atrás con su velocidad.

Moore también aportó en equipos especiales al devolver 25 patadas de despejes acumulando 216 yardas y dos patadas de reinicio para 37 yardas.
