Five things you may not have known about CB Tarell Brown...

1. Tarell Brown attended the University of Texas where he was a member of the team that won the 2006 Rose Bowl National Championship Game against USC.

2. He was the recipient of the 49ers’ Thomas Herrion Award in 2007, honoring the rookie or first-year player who has taken advantage of every opportunity, turned it into a positive and made their dreams come true.

3. During his 2011 season with the San Francisco 49ers, he set a career high with four interceptions.

4. In 2012, Brown founded Brown’s Kids Foundation Inc. a foundation that aims to, “Give back to the community and to showcase the positive reinforcement that athletics and mentoring can give.”

5. Additionally, he started another foundation, Tarell’s Born Again Foundation, providing an opportunity for all ex-offenders to make a positive transition into a new life.
