The Ravens are coached by John Harbaugh, who enters his fifth season as the head coach. He is the only coach in NFL history to take his team to the playoffs in his first four seasons and record at least one win. In 2011, the Ravens went 12-4, sweeping their division and going undefeated at home, and falling in the AFC Championship game to the New England Patriots. Harbaugh has a 44-20 regular season record and a 5-4 playoff record as head coach of the Ravens. Prior to his current position, Harbaugh spent 1998-2007 as the special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach with the Philadelphia Eagles. Before the Eagles, from 1984-1997, Harbaugh was a collegiate coach, spending the most years as special teams coordinator for University of Cincinnati. Harbaugh’s brother Jim is currently the head coach of the 49ers, and father, Jack, was a college football player and a collegiate coach.
