Posted Nov 22, 2012

Messages and memories from the Raiders on this Thanksgiving.

Head Coach Dennis Allen
“I’m thankful for the opportunity that I have to be part of this Raider Nation and part of this Raider family. I want to wish everybody in Raider Nation a very happy holiday season and a very blessed Thanksgiving.”

G Mike Brisiel
“I’m just thankful that the Raiders gave me an opportunity to play football for them. I’m blessed. I have a lot to be thankful for, and I try to remind myself of that every day."

WR Denarius Moore
“I’m thankful for life. I’m thankful for Thanksgiving and thankful for holidays like this, where you can be around the close ones and the ones that you love so much. We used to meet up at a certain house, my auntie’s house, and have some good soul food.”

DT Desmond Bryant
“I’m thankful for the opportunity to play this game that I love so much. Hopefully we can give Raider Nation something to be thankful for and win on Sunday!”

LB Miles Burris
“I’m thankful to be here, and I’m thankful for the fans. Overall, I’m very blessed. I realize that and don’t take it for granted.”

QB Matt Leinart
“Every year Thanksgiving growing up we’d always go either to my aunt and uncle’s house or my house. Thanksgiving is all about family, you always think of family so growing up we always had our family together, which is just awesome. We always had a bunch of kids running around. I’m thankful to be living every day. I’m thankful for having a great family that supports me. I’m thankful for my son who’s been the biggest blessing in my life.”

DB Michael Huff
“I’m thankful for my family. I just had my little girl. She’s three months old so this will be my first Thanksgiving celebrating with my daughter, so I think this is the start of a Thanksgiving tradition just spending it with her.”

Message for Raider Nation: “We love y’all. We give thanks to y’all. Thanks for being the best fans in the world. Without y’all, we wouldn’t be us so thank y’all.”

FB Owen Schmitt
“My favorite Thanksgiving memory is cranberry out of the can. I’m thankful for friends and family.”

DT Richard Seymour
“I put things in perspective in terms of my faith, my family and also my friendships that I have. So I call it the three 'F’s' – faith, family and friendship. So keep those in order and it’ll pay off for you in the long run.”

WR Derek Hagan
“I’m thankful to be alive. I’m thankful definitely to be helping people out this year. It’s my first time really going out this Thanksgiving and giving back to people. I’m thankful that I’m able to spend a nice holiday with my family.”

LS Jon Condo
“I’m thankful for my family. There’s so much in my life. I’m thankful for my life. I’m thankful for my team. I’m thankful for the community and I’m thankful for everything.”

DE Matt Shaughnessy
"Everybody be safe and enjoy the food!"
