Raiders RB Darren McFadden has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 3 of the 2011 NFL Regular Season. McFadden rushed for a career-high 171 yards on just 19 carries, averaging 9.0 yards per rushing attempt as the Raiders defeated the New York Jets 34-24 in the Silver and Black’s home regular season opener at O.co Coliseum in Oakland. McFadden rushed for two touchdowns, scoring on a two-yard run in the first quarter and a career-long 70-yard run in the second quarter. He added three receptions on the afternoon.

McFadden has also been nominated for FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week. Fans can vote until 12:00 p.m. PT on Friday.

Rookie G Stefen Wisniewski has been nominated for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week for games played on September 25-26. Wisniewski helped the Oakland offensive line clear the way for 234 yards on the ground while allowing only one sack to a potent pass rush in the Raiders 34-24 win over the New York Jets. His lead block on a touchdown run early in the fourth quarter helped give Oakland a commanding two-score lead.

WR Denarius Moore was voted the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week for Week 2 after catching five passes for 146 yards and a score, and rushing once for 25 yards in the Raiders’ 38-35 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
