The Raiders hit the practice field today for the final time leading up to their preseason finale against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, and the team welcomed back LB
Following the conclusion of the afternoon session, Head Coach Dennis Allen spoke about the team’s final preparations for the Seahawks game as well as the roster moves the Raiders made earlier in the day.
Offensive Coordinator Greg Olson addressed the status of QB
“I think we’re bigger up front,” Coach Olson said. “That’s encouraging to me right now. They’ve been able to play together throughout training camp. That’s been very encouraging, the fact that they’ve stayed healthy. As long as we can keep those guys healthy in the backfield, I think we’ve got a chance to be pretty good at running the football.”
Defensive Coordinator Jason Tarver also made his weekly remarks and spoke on several topics, ranging from the development of some young players, to the opportunity to face some read-option in the Seattle game.

“It was a good day,” Atkinson said today after practice. “You just have to keep moving and keep striving to become the team you want to become in the future. It was a good day; we just have to keep moving.”
As happy as he was with the work the team put in this week, the rookie made it very clear he was looking forward to strapping on the pads and playing in a game.
“There’s nothing like game day, especially at home,” he said. “It’s our last preseason game so we want to show what kind of team we’re going to be, leading into the season.”
The Raiders have a walk through-tomorrow and then will take on the Seattle Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. PT on Thursday night to wrap up the 2014 preseason.
