The Oakland Raiders have claimed WR Greg Little via waivers and signed free agents LB
Little enters his fourth NFL season, while Filimoeatu and Watson were signed after participating on a tryout basis at the Raiders’ recent rookie mini-camp.
Little has played in 48 games with 41 starts in his first three seasons (2011-13), all with the Cleveland Browns. His career totals include 155 receptions for 1,821 yards and eight touchdowns to go along with five rushes for 30 yards. Last season, he hauled in 41 passes for 465 yards and two touchdowns. In 2012, Little posted a team-high 53 receptions and became the first Brown since 2006-07 to lead the team in catches in back-to-back seasons. As a rookie in 2011, his 61 catches were second among all rookies, trailing only A.J. Green (65). The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder out of North Carolina was originally Cleveland’s second-round selection (59th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft.
Filimoeatu started all 26 games during his two-year collegiate career (2011-12) at Utah State and registered 112 tackles (48 solo), eight sacks, one interception, two passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. His senior season, he posted 71 tackles and five sacks. The 6-foot-2, 250-pounder spent the 2013 campaign recovering from a knee injury sustained in January 2013.
Watson played four years at Iowa State, seeing action in 44 games and making 19 starts. He recorded 91 tackles, one interception, 15 passes defensed and one forced fumble. As a senior, the 5-foot-9, 177-pounder posted career highs in tackles (29), passes defensed (8) and added one interception and one forced fumble.
To make room on the roster, the Raiders have waived CB Johnny Adams, LB Frank Beltre and WR D.J. Coles.
