The Oakland Raiders have re-signed unrestricted free agent CB Joselio Hanson, General Manager Reggie McKenzie announced Wednesday.

Hanson, entering his ninth NFL season, was signed by the Raiders just prior to the 2012 campaign and played in 16 games with five starts for the Silver and Black.

A 5-foot-9, 185-pound cornerback out of Texas Tech, Hanson has played in 120 career games with 24 starts. His career totals include six interceptions, 51 passes defensed, 3½ sacks and one forced fumble since entering the NFL as a non-drafted free agent with the San Francisco 49ers in 2004.

In 2012, following six seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, Hanson set a career high with 68 tackles (50 solo), matched a professional best with two interceptions, and was credited with his first forced fumble. He made a potential game-changing play in a loss at Cincinnati (Nov. 25), which would have resulted in a defensive touchdown by teammate Tyvon Branch.
