The Raiders continued their work week today, returning to the practice field in preparation for their match-up with the Seahawks on Thursday evening.

Following practice, Head Coach Dennis Allen spoke to the media, giving injury updates on several key players and talking about the team’s preparation for their upcoming game.

“Really another training camp-type practice today,” said Coach Allen. “Really working on ourselves and that’s really what our focus is today and what our focus probably will be tomorrow and then we’ll start prepping for Seattle on Wednesday.”

In addition to Coach Allen, QB Matt Schaub addressed the media and talked about his sore elbow.

“It’s just been something that kind of came up,” Schaub said when asked about his elbow. “It’s lingered a little bit, but it’s come up. We’ve been dealing with it and it’s just something we want to take care of and get out of the way now before the start of the season.”

Schaub is resting and undergoing treatment at the moment, but remains confident about his prognosis.

When he was asked if he was confident the elbow will be taken care of prior to the regular season, he said, “Absolutely, 100 percent.”

As the Raiders continue to prepare for their game against the Seahawks and keep one eye focused on the regular season, DL C.J. Wilson was pleased with the team’s effort this afternoon.

“Great day at the office. We’re still going hard and working hard every day,” said Wilson. “It’s all about ourselves right now still. We know we have an important game coming up against the Jets next week so we’re just worried about ourselves. It’s all about the Raiders right now. We’re trying to clean up and come together more as a team, so I think we had a great day today.”
