THIS WEEK: The Oakland Raiders, members of the American Football Conference Western Division, face division rival Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium this Sunday in a contest pitting two original American Football League teams. The game marks the second of three straight games that the Silver and Black will play against an AFC Western Division opponent. The Raiders are facing every AFC West opponent in the first three weeks of the 2009 NFL regular season, having already played San Diego in Week 1, Kansas City in Week 2 and Denver in Week 3. Last year, the Raiders faced every AFC West opponent in the first four weeks of the regular season—Denver, Week 1, Kansas City, Week 2 and San Diego, Week 4.

TELEVISION: The game will be televised on CBS with Kevin Harlan providing play-by-play and Solomon Wilcots handling color analysis. The game will air locally on KPIX Channel 5. The game will also air in Sacramento on KOVR Channel 13 as well as on KHSL in Chico, KION in Monterey and KJEO in Fresno.

RADIO: The game will air on Raiders Radio originating on KSFO 560 AM, the Silver and Black Flagship for the multi-state Radio Network. Greg Papa and former Raiders player, assistant and head coach Tom Flores will man the booth for the 12^th straight year. The radio pregame show and postgame show will feature Raider Legends George Atkinson and David Humm along with KSFO’s Rich Walcoff.

SPANISH RADIO: The game will air on radio station La Kaliente, KZSF 1370 AM. Armando Botello and Angel Dinamita handle announcing duties. Bay Area radio personalities Victor Zaragoza and Sal Acevedo are the sideline reporters.

SERIES: Sunday's game marks the 98^th regular season contest between these two original American Football League franchises, with the Chiefs holding a 51-44-2 edge in regular season games since the teams began playing in the AFL in 1960. Kansas City has a 2-1 advantage in postseason contests.

LAST WEEK: The Oakland Raiders lost to the San Diego Chargers, 24-20, to open the 2009 regular season before a sold out crowd on Monday night at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. WR Louis Murphy caught his first career touchdown pass on a 57-yard strike from QB JaMarcus Russell to give the Raiders a late 20-17 lead. RB Michael Bush capped off a 10-play, 84-yard drive with a 4-yard touchdown blast. K Sebastian Janikowski’s extra point gave the Raiders a 7-0 lead with 3:13 left in the first quarter. Murphy had a touchdown catch overturned by a booth review late in the second quarter. Janikowski drilled a 37-yard field goal to put the Raiders up 10-7 with 40 second left in the second quarter. Janikowski’s 35-yard field goal capped a seven-play, 51-yard drive and gave the Silver and Black a 13-10 lead with 13:01 left in the fourth quarter.

NEXT WEEK: The Oakland Raiders host the Denver Broncos in their third straight AFC Western Division contests to open the 2009 NFL regular season on Sunday, September 27 at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.
