- Oakland leads the all-time series, 16-15-1.

- The two teams will meet for the fourth time in the last five years, with their last match-up coming on Sept. 16, 2012.

- The Dolphins won the most recent meeting with the Raiders, a 35-13 victory at Sun Life Stadium in Miami.

- The Dolphins have won 13 of the last 16 games between the squads, dating back to 1988.

- Raiders assistant head coach/offensive line coach Tony Sparano served as the head coach of the Dolphins from 2008-11, helping Miami to one of the greatest year-to-year improvements in NFL history when he led the Dolphins to an 11-5 record in 2008.

- Raiders LBs coach Bob Sanders served in the same capacity with the Dolphins from 2001-04.

- Raiders LB Kevin Burnett played with the Dolphins for two seasons from 2011-12, starting all 32 games during his tenure with Miami.

- The Raiders will take part in the NFL’s International Series in 2014, traveling to London’s Wembley Stadium to face the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 28. In addition to the Raiders-Dolphins game, the Atlanta Falcons will play the Detroit Lions (Oct. 26) and the Jacksonville Jaguars will take on the Dallas Cowboys (Nov. 9).

- Since 2007, eight games have been played in London as part of the NFL’s International Series, and for the first time there will be three games abroad. Last season, the San Francisco 49ers took part in the series, beating the Jaguars and the Minnesota Vikings traveled to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers.

- The Oakland Raiders, a team with a large international presence, have a number of players and coaches with international backgrounds. Senior offensive assistant Al Saunders, T Menelik Watson and DE Jack Crawford all have ties specifically to England. Saunders and Crawford were both born in London, while Watson was born and raised in Manchester.
