Die Oakland Raiders übermitteln ihre Beileidsbekundungen an die Familie von Steve Sabol, dem Präsidenten von NFL Films, der am Dienstag im Alter von 69 Jahren nach einem 18-monatigen Kampf gegen Hirnkrebs verstorben ist. Sabol schrieb einst das Gedicht „The Autumn Wind“ (Der Herbstwind). Das Gedicht, untermalt von der Musik und der Stimme des verstorbenen John Facenda, ist zu einem Synonym für die „Silver and Black“ geworden.

The Autumn wind is a pirate
Blustering in from sea
With a rollicking song he sweeps along
Swaggering boisterously.
