The 2012 event offered diet soda and sugar-free ice cream and raised over $24,000 for JDRF, according to the Oakland A’s website.

The charity event hit home for Raiderette Maureen. “I’ve been a Type 1 diabetic for 13 years so I grew up with it,” said Maureen. “It’s nice to be here supporting something that I live with and being with all my sisters helping me out.”
