Karen Kovac
Raiderette Director/Choreographer

Karen Kovac is in her 14th year as head choreographer and her sixth as Raiderette Director. Karen has performed as a dancer in numerous television specials, commercials and concert stage productions. In addition, Kovac had the opportunity to work with some of the industry's top choreographers including Paula Abdul (American Idol). As a choreographer she has created crowd pleasing numbers for many NFL and NBA pro cheer teams. Karen has, as an associate producer, director and choreographer helped to develop the United Way Thanksgiving Day Halftime show on CBS, the NFL Pro Bowl on ESPN and World Cup Opening Ceremonies in addition to many theatrical productions in the Bay Area. Her varied background has allowed her to work on projects with Carlos Santana, L.L. Cool J, Bon Jovi, Vanessa Carlton, Jennifer Love-Hewitt, Boyz II Men and others. Karen also has a Master's of Science degree in International Business. She would like to thank all the Raiders fans for their ongoing support of our beautiful Raiderettes.
Laura Jollay
Assistant Choreographer
Laura Jollay enters her third season as the assistant choreographer in 2009. She brings enthusiasm, grace and experience to the position. Jollay, a former professional cheerleader, has performed throughout the country and Europe. Since retiring from the Raiderettes in 2001, she has been the choreographer for the San Jose State Spectrum Dance Team. In addition to her work with SJSU and her freelance choreography for competitive high school squads and the Arena Football League’s San Jose Saberkittens, Laura is entering her 11th year as a sales and service representative for a leading cheerleader and dance team uniforms and supplies company. Laura, who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, is looking forward to sharing her knowledge, love and passion for dance as she works with a new generation of Raiderettes and reconnects with the best fans in professional sports, the Raider Nation!
