3rd season with Raiders
Wes Miller enters his third season with the Raiders in 2017 as strength and conditioning assistant. Miller joined the club after working as a performance coach at EXOS, formerly Athletes’ Performance. A former college tight end, Miller has experience in training elite athletes and military personnel.
In his role, he assisted with the design and implementation of the strength program, as well as implementation of technology and reconditioning programs for the players. Miller also assisted with the maintenance of the team’s new performance center, which opened in 2015.
Miller helped grow and develop the strength and conditioning program in the 2016 season as the Raiders finished with a 12-4 record and a postseason berth, their first since 2002.
In his first season, Miller and the rest of the strength and conditioning staff implemented a new strength and conditioning program that assisted the team to a four-win improvement from the 2014 season.
Miller entered the NFL coaching ranks after working with the military at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, where he assisted in training military personnel. Prior to working with the military, Miller spent four years with EXOS, a leader in integrated performance training, nutrition and physical therapy for elite and professional athletes.
Beginning as an intern at EXOS in 2011, Miller was hired as a performance coach and helped develop and implement performance training programs for professional, amateur and youth athletes in a wide array of sports. While working with EXOS, Miller worked alongside current Raiders head strength and conditioning coach Joe Gomes, formerly the director of EXOS, and fellow Raiders strength assistant Darryl Eto.
