CAREER: Officially a second-year NFL player, enters the season bidding for a roster spot...Earned one of those 53 jobs just prior to the Raiders' 2012 regular-season finale, but was inactive, having spent the first 16 weeks on the practice squad...A non-drafted rookie, made the Chiefs' season-opening roster in 2011 but was inactive all 16 games...Has not played an official football game since his final Oregon contest, Jan. 10, 2011, a start in the BCS National Championship vs. Auburn.

2012: Did not play...Promoted to the active roster on Dec. 29, the day before the season finale; had spent the previous 16 weeks on the practice squad...Originally signed a practice-squad contract on Sept. 12...Spent the preseason in Kansas City, before the Chiefs waived him Aug. 31.

2011: Did not play...Inactive for all 16 Kansas City games as a rookie...Initially entered the NFL as a non-drafted free agent in 2011 and became team's only undrafted rookie to make season-opening roster.

COLLEGE: Two-year starter at defensive end at Oregon...Played in 52 games with 26 starts in four years with the Ducks...Began college career as a tight end before moving to defensive end...Totaled 106 tackles (56 solo), 25.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, 12 passes defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries...Started all 13 games as a senior in 2010, including the BCS National Championship vs. Auburn (1/10/11)...In 2010, recorded 47 tackles (25 solo), 16 tackles for loss, three sacks, eight passes defensed and two quarterback hurries to earn second-team All-Pac-10 honors...As a 2009 junior, started all 13 games, producing 45 tackles (21 solo), 9.5 tackles for loss and four passes defensed...Garnered honorable mention All-Pac-10 accolades...As a 2008 sophomore, played in all 13 games, tallying 8.5 tackles for loss, one pass defensed and a fumble recovery...As a redshirt freshman in 2007, appeared in all 13 games, finishing with six tackles...Redshirted as a true freshman in 2006, when he began the season as a tight end before transitioning to the defensive line.

PERSONAL: Bair and his wife, Jordan, have two children, Brooklyn and Rylee...Attended South Fremont High School in St. Anthony, Idaho...A first-team all-state defensive selection as a senior, accumulated 32 tackles and two sacks...Also had 20 catches for 260 yards and three touchdowns as a tight end.
