Bridgestone Elite Performance Moment Of The Week: Regular Season Week 6

The Oakland Raiders signed Cordarrelle Patterson this offseason to hopefully add a spark to both the offense and the special teams units.

Well, through six games, Patterson has done just that; he not only leads the league in kickoff return average, but he has already found the end zone twice on offense, with both scores coming on explosive plays.

With the Silver and Black trailing 14-10 in the fourth quarter, the Raiders had to get a touchdown, and Patterson answered the call, taking a handoff from Derek Carr, bursting through the line, and galloping 47 yards for the score with just over eight minutes left in regulation.

"I'm a playmaker and that's just something I do," explained Patterson postgame. "Every time I get the ball in my hands I feel like I'm going to score no matter when I touch the ball. That's the mentality I have. I was just born like that. Every time I get the ball I just go out there and try to make a play for my team."

Patterson's fourth quarter touchdown not only provided the offense with a jolt of life, it also gave the Silver and Black a lead when they desperately needed one, so the explosive score is this week's Elite Performance Moment of the Week, presented by Bridgestone.
