Derek Carr has been a man on a mission in 2018; he’s on pace to set career-highs in completion percentage, quarterback rating, and passing yards if he stays the course. Carr has passed a pair of Raiders greats in passing yard this season, surpassing Daryle Lamonica, and Rich Gannon, now with just Ken Stabler standing in his way. For the last eight weeks, the former Fresno State Bulldog has avoided throwing an interception, and Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals he set a franchise record for pass attempts without an interception.
In the second quarter of the team’s Week 15 matchup, Carr completed his 278 pass without an interception, breaking Gannon’s record of 277 passes without an interception. No. 4 has accomplished a lot during his five seasons as a Raider, and Head Coach Jon Gruden wants to help him continue unleashing his potential.
