Raiders Announce Transactions - December 22, 2017

ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed LB Brady Sheldon and OL Ian Silbermanto the active roster, the club announced Friday. Sheldon has been signed from the Raiders' practice squad, while Silberman signs from the Cleveland Browns' practice squad. In corresponding moves, the Raiders have placedG/C Jon Feliciano and T Donald Penn on* *the Reserve/Injured List.

Sheldon originally signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent in July 2017. He was waived at the end of training camp and brought back to the practice squad in November. He played four seasons at Ferris State, appearing in 33 games and totaling 111 tackles (57 solo).

Silberman was on the Raiders' practice squad for 10 weeks in 2016, and remained with the team during the 2017 offseason and through training camp before being waived. He has spent time with the Indianapolis Colts and Cleveland Browns this year, but did not appear in a game. He was originally selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2015 NFL Draft and has played in one career game, coming with San Francisco in 2015.

Additionally, the Raiders have signed TE Marcus Lucas to the practice squad. Lucas was originally signed by the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2014, and has spent time with the Panthers, Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks and Colts, but has not appeared in a game.
