The Oakland Raiders have re-signed safety Matt Giordano. The eight-year veteran out of the University of California played in 15 games with nine starts last season after joining the Silver and Black as a free agent during the team's 2011 training camp.

Giordano led the Raiders with five interceptions which he returned for 130 yards, including a 62-yard INT return in the team's 16-13 OT win at Kansas City December 24. He also logged 70 tackles (56 solo) and his first career sack.

Giordano entered the NFL with Indianapolis in 2005 and played four seasons with the Colts. He spent 2009 with Green Bay and 2010 with New Orleans.
