ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent CB Senquez Golson, the club announced Friday.

Golson, 24, joins the Silver and Black after spending time on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad in 2017. Originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round (56th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft, Golson spent his first two seasons with the club on the Reserve/Injured List due to a shoulder and foot injury.

A native of Pascagoula, Miss., the 5-foot-9, 176-pound cornerback played four years at Mississippi (2011-14), appearing in 49 games and making 33 starts, totaling 136 tackles and 16 interceptions. His 16 interceptions were tied for third-most in school history upon his departure, and he earned unanimous first-team All-American honors as a senior in 2014.
