ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Las Vegas Raiders have signed free agent LB Quentin Poling, the team announced Thursday.
Poling, a 6-foot-1, 235-pound linebacker, returns to the Raiders having spent the majority of the 2019 campaign on the club's practice squad and appearing in one contest on special teams. He spent the entirety of his rookie campaign on the Miami Dolphins' practice squad after originally being selected by the club in the seventh round (227th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.
The Gomer, Ohio, native played four seasons at Ohio before entering the NFL, starting in 50 contests and making 374 tackles (217), 18.5 sacks, seven interceptions, 21 passes defensed and seven forced fumbles, while also collecting a program-record 44 tackles for loss. As a senior in 2017, Poling started all 13 games and earned first-team All-MAC honors after leading the program with 107 tackles, adding 5.5 sacks, four passes defensed and three forced fumbles.
