Martin's Vision: See Raiders training camp through the lens of Doug Martin's disposable camera

Oakland Raiders running back Doug Martin (28) celebrates after scoring a touchdown during the Oakland Raiders game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, Sunday, December 9, 2018, in Oakland, California. Oakland won 24-21.

There's beauty in the old-school ways.

Running back Doug Martin got to showcase a little bit of that beauty during Training Camp in Napa earlier this year, as part of a photography project with Sports Illustrated.

Martin was one of six NFL players given a disposable camera by the sports outlet to capture slice-of-life content during camps across the country.

With HBO's massive cameras and film crew gathering storylines for Hard Knocks, Martin's photos are a refreshing snapshot of the spontaneity and imperfection hi-res photos and videos on social media have nearly made irrelevant.

"When I took pictures, everybody was pretty confused as to why I was using a disposable camera," Martin told Sports Illustrated. "I didn't even explain it. I just took the picture and I left."

Here are a few of the photos Martin took. For more, visit Sports Illustrated's full feature, here.
