Beyah Rasool enters his first season as the defensive quality control coach for the Raiders in 2025, bringing with him 10 years of coaching experience at the college level.
Prior to joining the Silver and Black, Rasool served as the quality control – cornerbacks coach at the University of Florida in 2024. In his lone season with the Gators, the defense finished ranked fourth in the SEC with 14 interceptions. S Bryce Thornton led the team with three interceptions, while CBs Trikweze Bridges and Devin Moore each recorded two interceptions.
Rasool worked at Bowling Green State University in 2023, serving as the cornerbacks coach/ special teams assistant. Under his guidance, the Falcons' secondary finished tied for fourth in the NCAA with 17 interceptions and led the nation with 28 takeaways. He mentored CBs Jordan Oladokun and Jalen Huskey, as they both finished with a team-high four interceptions, tied for 19th-most in the nation and second-best in the conference. Huskey was a first-team All-MAC performer and Oladokun earned second-team honors.
Before his time with Bowling Green State, Rasool served as the senior defensive analyst for the University of Arizona for two seasons (2021-22). In 2022, the defense forced 16 turnovers and ranked seventh in the conference in passing yards allowed per game (258.6).
In his first season with the Wildcats, Rasool helped coach a secondary that held opposing offenses to just 190 yards passing per game, a mark that ranked second in the Pac-12 and 15th nationally. Arizona held their opponents to fewer than 100 yards passing four times that season.
Prior to his arrival at Arizona, Rasool was a defensive assistant at Missouri for two seasons, working with the safeties in 2019 before moving to the defensive line in 2020.
In 2020, Rasool saw DL Trajan Jeffcoat earn first-team All-SEC honors after posting 23 tackles, six tackles for loss and 6.0 sacks. His 6.0 sacks led the team and ranked tied for third-most in the conference.
During the 2019 season, Rasool helped tutor safeties Tyree Gillespie and Joshuah Bledsoe as they both earned All-America honors. Gillespie finished with 50 tackles, seven pass break-ups, four tackles for loss and one forced fumble, while Bledsoe recorded 49 tackles, four tackles for loss and a team-high 10 passes defensed.
Rasool served as the secondary coach/recruiting coordinator at Eastern Arizona College from 2014-16 after working with the cornerbacks at Pima Community College in 2012.
At Eastern Arizona, he mentored three defensive backs who earned All-WSFL/ACCAC first team honors and helped the unit rank top 10 nationally in the NJCAA in passing yards allowed in two of his three seasons (131.1 in 2016, 4th; 129.9 in 2014, 7th).
PERSONAL: A native of Tucson, Ariz., Rasool played football at Eastern Arizona College from 2006-07…He graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in general studies in 2020…Previously coached in the high school ranks in Arizona from 2008-2011.
