Conner McQueen enters his first season in the NFL and his first season as offense quality control coach with the Raiders, bringing with him eight years of collegiate coaching experience.
McQueen spent the past two seasons as the offensive coordinator at Incarnate Word. During that time, Incarnate Word averaged 33.6 points per game and finished with a 20-5 record and a Southland Conference championship.
In 2024, the offense finished 10th in the FCS in passing yards per game (275.6) and third in total passing touchdowns (37). UIW led the Southland Conference in offensive touchdowns (61), total points (471), passing yards (3,859) and passing touchdowns (37). Under McQueen's tutelage, QB Zach Calzada was named Southland Conference Player of the Year after leading the FCS in passing touchdowns with 33 and finishing sixth in passing yards (3,351) and passing yards per game (279.25). He added four rushing touchdowns and has amassed over 3,500 yards of total offense, ranking eighth in FCS for total offense. Under McQueen's guidance, WR Jalen Walthall earned Southland Offensive Player of the Year honors by ranking second in FCS with 14 receiving touchdowns and fourth in receiving yards with 1,149. McQueen produced 11 players that were selected to All-Conference teams, including six players earning First Team honors.
In 2023, McQueen's offense at Incarnate Word finished second in the FCS in total offense (480.1) and passing offense (323.1). UIW led the Southland Conference in total offense, scoring offense, passing yards per game, yards per carry, total first downs, third down conversion and total touchdowns. McQueen coached six Cardinal offensive players to All-Conference honors, led by Calzada, who was named Southland Newcomer of the Year. WR Brandon Porter was named Southland Offensive Player of the Year an QB Richard Torres was named to the Phil Steele FCS 2023 Freshman All-American Third Team.
Prior to Incarnate Word, McQueen served as a graduate assistant at USC in 2022, working with the quarterbacks under head coach Lincoln Riley. The Trojans' offense broke six program records, including most yards passing in a single season (4,696 yards), most passes attempted in a single season (515), most touchdown passes in a single season (43), lowest percentage of passes had intercepted (0.97%), most games scoring 30-plus points (12) and most games scoring 40-plus points. McQueen worked alongside QB Caleb Williams who was named the Heisman Trophy winner after completing 333-of-500 passes (66.7%) for 4,537 yards and 42 touchdowns with just five interceptions, plus he rushed for 382 yards and 10 touchdowns.
McQueen spent two seasons as an offensive analyst at Oklahoma (2020-21), primarily assisting with running backs and tight ends. The Sooners won the Big 12 in 2020 and had five offensive players named to all conference teams.
Prior to working at Oklahoma, McQueen was a graduate assistant working with the defense at UCLA in 2018 and 2019 under current Raiders offensive coordinator Chip Kelly.
He began his coaching career at Texas A&M, first as a student assistant coach in the spring of 2017 and then as an offensive quality control assistant in the 2017 season.
PERSONAL: A native of Klein, Texas, McQueen played quarterback and holder at Texas A&M from 2012-16...He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting and master's degree in financial management..His father, Mark, was a quarterback at Texas A&M from 1981-1982...His grandfather, Bob McQueen, played football at Tulsa and is in the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame after winning 17 district titles and two state championships as a head coach.
