Kenyon Jackson enters his first season as the assistant defensive line coach for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2025. He joins the Silver and Black after spending the 2022 season as the assistant defensive line coach with the Houston Texans.
In 2022, the Texans' defense tied for fourth in the NFL with 49 sacks. Under Jackson's guidance, DL Jerry Hughes finished with 9.0 sacks, 10 tackles for loss and two fumble recoveries, all of which were team highs. Hughes' three contests with multiple sacks ranked as the fifth-most multi-sack games in the league. Jackson also helped DL Ogbo Okoronkwo register career highs in tackles (44), tackles for loss (nine) and sacks (five).
Prior to his time in Houston, Jackson served as the assistant defensive line coach for the Miami Dolphins in 2021. That season, he saw the Dolphins record the fifth-most sacks in the league (48.0), tie for ninth in forced fumbles (14) and rank tied for 13th in rushing yards allowed per game (109.8). DT Christian Wilkins tied for first among all NFL defensive linemen with 89 tackles, marking the highest total by a Dolphins defensive lineman since 1993. DL Emmanuel Ogbah also posted a career-high 12 passes defensed, the most by an NFL defensive lineman since 2016.
