The Raiders also recorded the second-most run stuffs (98) among defenses in 2025. The defensive front helped the Raiders rack up 104 total tackles for loss, the third most in the NFL and the most in a single season by the Raiders since 2000.

Under Jackson's guidance, DE Maxx Crosby earned his fifth-straight Pro Bowl selection after posting a single-season career-high 28 tackles for loss, the second most in the NFL. Crosby also led the NFL with 26 run stuffs. Jackson also coached rookie DT Tonka Hemingway, who recorded 4.0 sacks in just nine games, tied for the third most among Raiders defenders through their first nine career games and tied for the third most among rookie interior defensive linemen in franchise history.

Jackson came to the Raiders after one season as the assistant defensive line coach with the Houston Texans. In 2022, the Texans' defense tied for fourth in the NFL with 49 sacks. DL Jerry Hughes finished with 9.0 sacks, 10 tackles for loss and two fumble recoveries, all of which were team highs. Hughes' three contests with multiple sacks ranked as the fifth-most multi-sack games in the league. Jackson also helped DL Ogbo Okoronkwo register career highs in tackles (44), tackles for loss (nine) and sacks (five).

Prior to his time in Houston, Jackson served as the assistant defensive line coach for the Miami Dolphins in 2021. That season, Miami recorded the fifth-most sacks in the league (48.0), tied for ninth in forced fumbles (14) and rank tied for 13th in rushing yards allowed per game (109.8). DT Christian Wilkins tied for first among all NFL defensive linemen with 89 tackles, marking the highest total by a Dolphins defensive lineman since 1993. DL Emmanuel Ogbah also posted a career-high 12 passes defensed, most by an NFL defensive lineman since 2016.
