Ketner Kupp enters his first season as the defensive quality control coach for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2026, bringing with him six years of coaching experience at the college level. Prior to joining the Silver and Black, he spent five years at Pacific Lutheran University, where he served as the linebackers coach for three seasons (2021-23) before being promoted to defensive coordinator for his final two seasons (2024-25).

In 2025, the Lutes finished third in the NWC with a 5-2 mark in conference play and were led on defense by DE Cole Becker. Kupp mentored Becker who was named Second Team All-Region and First Team All-NWC after leading conference in sacks with 9.5 while adding 11 tackles for loss, 46 tackles, three passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Under his direction in 2024, the Lutes ranked sixth nationally in rushing defense in Division III, allowing just 57.6 rushing yards per game while ranking tied for ninth nationally in sacks (34). Kupp coached three players who earned All-Northwest Conference first team honors in DL Nico Golla, LB Kalen Davis-White and DB Sam Morasch. Golla led the team with 7.5 sacks while Davis-White recorded 81 tackles and Morasch registered five interceptions.

Kupp began his tenure at PLU as the linebackers coach in 2021 and helped produce three All-Conference selections in his first three years with the program. Davis-White was a three-time ALL-NWC selection, while LBs Ashton Barton and Kord Tuttle each earned one All-NWC honor.

In 2020, Kupp started his coaching career serving as a defensive analyst for Division I FCS Eastern Washington University.

Prior to joining the EWU staff, Kupp signed as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Rams for the 2019 training camp.

PERSONAL: A native of Yakima, Wash., Kupp was a three-year starter at Eastern Washington University, serving as team captain for the 2015 FCS National Championship team and finishing his career with 267 tackles…As a senior, he posted 115 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, one interception returned 95 yards for a touchdown, and four passes defensed at linebacker…Kupp graduated with a degree in business management and was a three-time member of the Big Sky All-Academic team…His brother, Cooper, currently is a wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks.
