Biography

Matt Capurro enters his 22nd NFL season and rejoins the Silver and Black after spending the past 15 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. He most recently served as the Seahawks vice president of coaching operations from 2022-2024 after serving as the team's director of team operations from 2010-2021. During his time with the Seahawks, the team made the playoffs ten times, including two Super Bowls, and won Super Bowl XLVIII (2013).

Capurro oversaw several areas for the Seahawks, including day-to-day football operations, scheduling, the football calendar, CBA compliance, the Bill Walsh Fellowship Program, roster management and game day reporting, officiating, club discipline, and communication with players, coaches and other departments.

Capurro previously worked with the USC Trojans in 2009 as Director of Football Operations. He organized the football calendar, coordinated all travel logistics for home and road games, directed USC football camps and clinics, oversaw team compliance and budgeting, and served as liaison for the football department within the Athletic Department.

Capurro spent six seasons with the Oakland Raiders from 2003-2008 as assistant to the head coach where he coordinated the day-to-day football operations of the team. During that span, he worked for Bill Callahan, Norv Turner, Art Shell, Lane Kiffin and Tom Cable.

Prior to that, Capurro was a football operations intern for the Oakland Raiders for five years (1998-2002) for Jon Gruden and Bill Callahan.

A Bay Area native, Capurro earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from University of San Francisco in 2003. He lettered in football and baseball at St. Vincent High School in Petaluma (Calif.).

Matt and his wife, Emily, have two daughters (Gianna and Cecilia).
