Matthew Fyle enters his fourth season in the NFL and his second season with the Las Vegas Raiders. In his first season with the Silver and Black, Fyle worked extensively with all position groups throughout the roster with a focus on strength training. His responsibilities also include assisting the athletic training staff in transitioning players back from injury into participation and managing performance data for the team's strength and conditioning staff.
In 2025, Fyle supported a department that produced two Pro Bowlers in DE Maxx Crosby and TE Brock Bowers. He also helped several veteran players establish career highs in appearances, starts, and statistical milestones. CB Eric Stokes made a career-high 16 starts and LB Devin White tied a career high with 17 starts while recording 174 tackles, the second most in the NFL and the most in a single season in Raiders history. Fyle also helped transition nine rookie draft picks who accounted for 47 total starts, with RB Ashton Jeanty earning PFWA All-Rookie honors after leading all rookies in rushing yards (975) and scrimmage yards (1,321).
Prior to joining the Raiders, Fyle spent nine years working in similar roles throughout the collegiate level with his most recent role being with the University of Miami (2024-2025). He spent three years as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for UNLV Football (2020-2023). Other stops include the University Maryland (2019 and 2023), University of Oregon (2018), and University of Georgia (2016-2018).
Before entering the collegiate ranks, Fyle worked in the private sector (2014 -2016) specializing in athlete development and NFL Combine prep.
Began his career with the Atlanta Falcons in 2012, working two seasons alongside current Raiders Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, AJ Neibel.
PERSONAL: Originally from the Atlanta area, Fyle has a bachelor's degree in exercise science and a master's degree in kinesiology...Notable qualifications include a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, strength and conditioning coach certification through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association, USA weightlifting certified, level one, Olympic lifting coach...Fyle is a veteran of the US Army with a deployment to Iraq from 2003 to 2004...He and his wife, Stephanie, have a son (Nicholas) and two stepsons (Benjamin and James).
