He most recently served as the offensive pass game coordinator and tight ends coach at Wofford College from 2024-25. During the 2025 season, the Terriers posted a 6-6 record and set a program record for the most passing completions in a single season with 194. Collins oversaw an offense that utilized three different quarterbacks, with J.T. Fayard playing in eight games and completing 139-of-207 passes for 1,471 yards with 13 touchdowns. Tight end Matt Flanders finished with 15 catches for 92 yards while wide receiver Ivory Aikens led the team in 39 receptions (39), receiving yards (498) and touchdowns (six).

During the 2024 season, Collins helped three offensive players earn All-Southern Conference honors in offensive lineman Anthony Garcia, wide receiver Kyle Watkins and tight end Jordan Davis. Davis had 20 catches for 206 yards and a team-high three receiving touchdowns as he started all 12 games and became the first Terrier tight end to be honored since 2007. Collins also coached two players to the All-Freshman team in offensive lineman Luke Moise and quarterback Amari Odom. Odom started eight games and led the team in passing with 1,565 yards on 117-of-211 attempts.

Prior to Wofford, Collins spent two seasons as an offensive quality control coach at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2022, the Panthers had a 1,000-yard rusher and a 1,000-yard receiver for the first time since 2014. Israel Abanikanda led the ACC in rushing with 1,431 yards and 20 touchdowns on 239 carries en route to being named a first team All-American by CBS Sports and ESPN. Wide receiver Jared Wayne compiled 60 catches for 1,063 yards (17.7 avg.) and five touchdowns on the year, earning All-ACC second team honors.

In 2021, Collins served as co-offensive coordinator at Centennial (Ill.) High School. The team finished with a 6-5 record and reached the playoffs for the first time since 2006, advancing to the second round in the 6A playoffs.

From 2018-20, Collins was an offensive analyst at the University of Illinois under Lovie Smith. In 2018, the Fighting Illini ranked 12th nationally in rushing yards per game (244.8) and were led by All-Big Ten running back Reggie Corbin, who finished third in the FBS in yards per carry (8.5).

Prior to Illinois, Collins was the offensive coordinator at Becker College, an NCAA Division III program in Massachusetts, for two seasons (2016-17). He spent three years as an offensive graduate assistant at Florida International (2013-15) and three years in player development at Rutgers (2010-12) before joining Becker.

He started his coaching career as the running backs coach at Delaware Valley College from 2007-09 after completing a football operations internship with the Indianapolis Colts in 2006.

PERSONAL: A native of Marshfield, Mass., Collins graduated from University of Mary Washington with a bachelor's degree in American Studies in 2007…He was a member of the men's lacrosse team...He completed a master's degree in recreation and sport management from FIU in 2016…Collins and his wife, Amy, have two daughters, Madelyn and Kate.
