Sean Binckes enters his first season in the NFL and his first season as offensive assistant with the Raiders, bringing with him nine years of collegiate coaching experience.
Binckes spent the last two seasons (2023-24) as an offensive graduate assistant at Ohio State…In 2024, he worked alongside current Raiders offensive coordinator Chip Kelly and helped the Buckeyes to a 14-2 record and a National Championship in the first year of the 12-team College Football Playoff, averaging 36.3 points per game across their four playoff victories. The offense finished 14th in scoring offense (35.7 points per game) and 30th in total offense (429.4 yards per game) in the nation.
In 2023, Binckes helped the offense finish second in the Big Ten in passing yards (3,498), third in passing touchdowns (26) and third in points per game (30.5). He helped develop TE Cade Stover who was a finalist for the Mackey Award, given to the nation's top tight end. Stover caught 41 passes for 576 yards and five touchdowns.
In 2022, Binckes worked as a graduate assistant at Temple and saw QB EJ Warner become the first Temple player to be chosen as The American's Rookie of the Year. He finished with 3,028 passing yards and 18 touchdown passes, while his 275.3 passing yards per game ranked fourth in The American Conference.
Prior to Temple, Binckes served as the running backs coach for Florida International in 2021 after joining the staff as a graduate assistant in 2020. In 2021, he coached RB D'Vonte Price, Sr., who earned Conference USA Honorable mention after rushing for 682 yards and six touchdowns.
Began his coaching career at Nassau Community College from 2016-19, where he held several roles including offensive coordinator, wide receivers coach, offensive line coach and strength and conditioning coach.
PERSONAL: A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Binckes played tight end at Long Island University from 2012-16 where he also earned his bachelor's degree in health sciences. He went on to receive a master's degree in recreation and sports management from Florida International. He and his wife Alyssa have a daughter, Julianna.
