Ashley Smith enters her seventh season with the Las Vegas Raiders and second as a Senior Communications Coordinator. She originally joined the Silver and Black during the team's inaugural season in Las Vegas as a media relations gameday representative (2020-21), before serving as the communications assistant (2022) and communications coordinator (2023-24).

Smith manages media alerts, press releases, pitching, correspondence and on-site media relations operations for community events and initiatives, working with several internal departments, including community relations, corporate partnerships, and marketing. She supports the football communications day-to-day media operations, serving as a contact for players and coaches to facilitate interview request and provide preparation and guidance for all media appearances and availabilities throughout the calendar year. She contributes to the departmental publications, including the weekly media release and the annual media guide, while managing updated biographies and statistics for the roster via the team's media/NFLOMG website. She creates, edits, and finalizes the weekly flip card which entails making sure the depth chart, details on each player, and coaches information are correct. Smith is responsible to send out a weekly exchange to opponents public relations staff days ahead of gameday, providing information on the team's hotel, flip card, credential requests, timing sheets and NFLOMG media site.

Smith was born in Los Angeles and raised in Las Vegas. She earned a scholarship to play volleyball at the University of Kansas where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications with a minor in business.
