Carter Thornton enters his third season with the Las Vegas Raiders. He was named Football Operations Assistant in spring of 2024 after one year as a Team Operations Assistant. Thornton assists in the day-to-day football operations of the team, including player communication and coaching administration needs.

Previously Thornton worked as a Football Operations Graduate Intern for Liberty University's football program under the direction of head coaches Hugh Freeze and Jamey Chadwell. He earned his bachelor's degree in Education, Kinesiology from the University of Alabama, where he worked for four seasons (2018-2022) as a student manager for the Crimson Tide football program under the direction of Head Coach Nick Saban.

A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Thornton lettered in football and wrestling at Floyd E. Kellam High School. He currently resides in Henderson, Nevada.
