DeAngelo Shears is entering his ninth season with the Las Vegas Raiders and his first as Player Engagement Manager. Before assuming his current role, Shears served as the Player Engagement Coordinator for the Raiders. He originally joined the Raiders in 2015 as an operations intern. In his current position, Shears is responsible for professional development opportunities for the team's players. He also oversees the Injured Reserve (IR) Goal Setting Program and assists in developing the Raiders Rookie Academy curriculum.
Born and raised in Chicago, Shears earned his bachelor's degree in sports management and business administration from Howard University. He began studies to pursue a master's degree in business administration at Roosevelt University, which he completed at the University of Phoenix. Shears is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated and resides in Las Vegas.
