Biography

Montelle Sanders enters his fifth season as Director of Player Engagement for the Las Vegas Raiders. Sanders joined the Silver and Black in 2019 after serving in football operations and player development/engagement with the New York Jets from 2008-19. 

In his current role, Sanders coordinates the Raiders' rookie development program and assists new players with making the transition to Las Vegas and the NFL. Among other duties, he communicates with Raiders players returning various team and league programs that are available, assists players in returning to school to finish their degrees or pursue graduate school, and with financial education and internship opportunities. 

A native of Cleveland, Sanders earned a bachelor's degree at Jackson State University and received a master's degree from Slippery Rock University, where he was recently inducted into the school's Sport Management Hall of Fame. He resides in Henderson, Nev.
