Vice President, Player Engagement
Biography
Rob Davis enters his first season as Vice President of Player Engagement for the Las Vegas Raiders. Davis joins the Raiders after spending the past two seasons (2023-24) with the Green Bay Packers as the team's Director of Organizational Development & Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. He previously served as the team's Director of Player Engagement for nine seasons (2008-17). In that role, he helped maintain locker-room cohesiveness and assisted players with acclimatizing to their roles on and off the field and in the Green Bay community. He also directed players and their families to resources to help them handle the demands of the modern NFL and prepare for life after football.
From 2020-22, Davis served as the assistant head coach for the Dallas Cowboys after working with the Oshkosh Corporation in their fire and emergency division, Pierce Manufacturing, where he served as a senior director of people and culture (2017-19) and senior director of operational excellence (2019-20).
Davis served as the Packers' long snapper for 11 seasons (1997-2007) and played in 167 consecutive games for Green Bay, the fourth longest streak in team history. He played in Super Bowl XXXII with Green Bay. In 1996, he signed with the Chicago Bears and played all 16 games at long snapper.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, also earned a master's degree in Applied Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, along with a certification in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from Cornell University. Davis was the first player ever from Shippensburg University to play in the NFL and was named to the school's athletic hall of fame in October 2003. Accompanying his induction, he also became the first player to have his jersey retired by Shippensburg in any sport.
Davis and his wife, Tara, have a daughter, Marlee, and a son, Kahli.
