Prior to his first stint with the Raiders, he served 19 years with the Green Bay Packers, including 11 as the team's assistant director of college scouting. Herock, who embarks on his 30th overall year in scouting, became a full-time scout for the Packers in 1994. A former Raiders ball boy, he began his NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons from 1989-92 before joining the Packers initially as a summer intern in the scouting department.
