Assistant Director, Pro Scouting

Biography

Ben Chester enters his 12th season with the Raiders and second season as the Assistant Director of Pro Scouting. He spent his first 10 seasons with the Raiders as a Pro Scout after originally joining the organization in 2014. In his current role, Chester assists the player personnel department in various areas: evaluating both professional and college players, advance scouting of upcoming opponents, directing in-season tryouts, assisting in setting the free agency board, and attending college pro days. Prior to his time with the Silver and Black, Chester was a defensive graduate assistant for the UW-Stevens Point football team and a football operations assistant/pro liaison at UW-Oshkosh.

A native of Green Bay, Wisc., Chester graduated from UW-Green Bay with a degree in business administration and received his master's degree from UW-Stevens Point in Education. He was a member of the Ripon College football team before having a few stints as a quarterback in the Indoor Football League. Chester resides in Las Vegas with his wife, Amy and two boys (Charlie and Malcolm).
