Biography

CAREER: In his 5-year collegiate career (2 years at Louisville, 2 years at Florida State, and 1 year at USC), he recorded 100 tackles, including 2 for loss, 5 INTs, 14 PBUs, and 1 fumble recovery while appearing in 38 games with 11 starts.

2024: Vance Jr. recorded 29 tackles, including 1 for loss of 2 yards, with 1 INT and 2 PBUs, in 11 appearances (all but Rutgers and Texas A&M), with 6 starts, as a redshirt senior in 2024.

Vance recorded 4 tackles versus LSU and 1 tackle against Utah State. He had 2 tackles at Michigan and 3 tackles, with 1 PBU, versus Wisconsin. He tallied 1 tackle at Minnesota and 5 tackles at Maryland, including 1 for loss of 2 yards. LOUISVILLE: As a redshirt freshman in 2021, he had 36 tackles, including 1 for loss of 2 yards, 7 PBUs and 1 fumble recovery while appearing in 12 games with 9 starts. His 7 PBUs tied for eighth in ACC and for second among Cardinals. He recorded his career-high tackles with 8 in win at Duke.

He played 5 games as a true freshman in 2020 and made 1 tackle.

HIGH SCHOOL: Vance Jr. was rated the No. 24 prospect from Louisiana and No. 44 cornerback nationally on 247 Composite. He earned 2019 All-State honors as a senior. He helped lead Edna Karr to 4A state championships all three years on varsity. He helped lead the Cougars to a 13-2 finish in 2019, a perfect 15-0 season in 2018 and 14-1 in 2017.

PERSONAL: He earned his bachelor's degree is Social Science from Florida State in the spring of 2024. He is now pursuing a certificate in Gerontology at USC. His cousin is Tracy Porter who was an NFL safety from 2008-16. Porter is best known for his play in Super Bowl XLIV when he intercepted Peyton Manning and returned it for a TD in to seal the win for the New Orleans Saints.
