General Manager Reggie McKenzie now has a decision to make in regards to the future of the Raiders' defensive line.
According to reports, defensive end Benson Mayowa signed a restricted free agent offer sheet with the Dallas Cowboys last week, meaning that the Raiders have until Wednesday to make a decision on the future of the former Idaho Vandal.
If the Raiders elect to match the offer Mayowa received from the Cowboys, the rangy lineman would return to Oakland, where he has spent the past two seasons.
However, if the Silver and Black elect not to match the offer, Mayowa would become a Cowboy, and since the team did not put a draft pick tender on him, they would receive no compensation back for his departure.
Originally claimed via waivers by the Raiders on August 31, 2014, Mayowa has appeared in 28 games for the Silver and Black, making three starts in the process, totaling 32 total tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries since arriving in Oakland.
The Inglewood, Calif., native appeared in 12 games in 2015, after missing the first four of the season because of a knee injury.
