The Oakland Raiders hosted the Carolina Panthers for their Week 12 matchup on Sunday at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. The Silver and Black pulled off the come-from-behind victory late in the fourth quarter due to some late-game heroics from quarterback Derek Carr. Prior to kickoff, the Raiders continued the pregame tradition of honoring the great Al Davis by lighting the memorial torch. In attendance to light the torch Sunday afternoon was former Raiders linebacker Monte Johnson, who served as a member of the team for seven years.

Over the course of his career, Johnson tallied 10 interceptions and recovered eight fumbles. He spent the entirety of his career suiting up in the Silver and Black and played middle linebacker, right inside linebacker, and left inside linebacker. Johnson's best season came in 1976 when he totaled four interceptions and three forced fumbles in a span of 14 games. His career-best season also happens to be the year the Raiders won their first Super Bowl.

Johnson expressed his gratitude to light the torch and was honored to commemorate Davis.

Here are the other Torch features from the 2016 season:

Preseason Week 3 - **George Buehler**

Preseason Week 4 - **Oakland Police Department**

Week 2 - **Pete Banaszak**

Week 6 - **Henry Lawrence**

Week 11 – Tommie Smith
