Head Coach Jack Del Rio

2016 has been a big offseason for the Raiders. Many new faces were added in free agency and the NFL Draft, the players who *were *on the team in 2015 have continued to develop chemistry, and general feelings of confidence and optimism are tangible throughout the organization. Not only has it been a big offseason for the team, but the team's coach as well – yesterday, Head Coach Jack Del Rio announced that he has joined the world of Twitter. You can give him a follow @coachdelrio .

"I just wanted to make a quick statement since I did elect to become a little more current. I did launch the Twitter [account] today, so I joined that, did it in front of the team first. That's why I talked to the guys. Just an opportunity to I guess be a little more current and share a little insight. Give you a little peak into what we're doing here and how hard we're working. Be purposeful, building for this season and how excited we are for it. Just a little opportunity."

Coach Del Rio's first tweet? It was a great one with the team:

His second one was pretty good too as he showed some love for the media members who came out to watch practice:

He also received a very warm welcome on Twitter from players and media:

He should definitely be a must-follow for any fan of the Silver and Black – welcome to Twitter, Coach.
