Looking At The Raiders 2016 Strength Of Schedule

For several months, we've known who the Raiders will be playing in 2016, but later today, we'll find out *when *the Silver and Black will be taking on each opponent in 2016.

The 2016 regular season schedule will be released this evening at 5:00 p.m., but prior to the unveiling, let's take an early look at the team's strength of schedule heading into the upcoming season.

According to NFL.com, the Raiders rank No. 15 in strength of schedule, with their opponents owning a combined record of 0.500 in 2015.

For comparison, the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers possess the hardest statistical schedule (0.555), while the Green Bay Packers boast the easiest (0.457).

Facing a tough schedule is nothing new for the Silver and Black – heading into the 2015 season, the team's opponents owned a combined record of 0.545.

Should people invest too much time and effort into breaking down the team's strength of schedule for 2016? Probably not, but nevertheless, it provides interesting fodder for conversation and debate.
