Raiders Earning High Marks On Radio Row

The lead up to Super Bowl 50 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., continued Wednesday at the Moscone Center West, home of the Super Bowl Media Center and Radio Row.

Raiders.com has been on the scene all week, so here are some of the best nuggets gathered today.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb spoke glowingly about quarterback Derek Carr and his immense potential.

"He makes some unbelievable throws. [Packers wide receiver] Davante Adams played with him in college, so you hear stories about the kind of person he is, and I think that's going to carry on the field, and he's destined for greatness. He's trying to be the best that he can be, and I think he's going to be pretty good."

Actor Josh Duhamel, who was making the rounds on Radio Row, also really likes what he's seen from Carr through two seasons.

"You guys have a good, young quarterback. He's for real, man. He's got a live arm and he's a good leader. He doesn't get in trouble."

Defensive tackle Dan Williams stopped by and broke some news in regards to his and Justin Ellis' nickname.

"The breaking news today is me and Justin will not be referred to as Meat and Potatoes anymore. We will now be called Peanut Butter and Jelly. Everybody kept asking us who's the meat and who's the potatoes, and we both wanted to be the meat, so I think we both decided that we like that name better."

Former Raiders defensive end, and current host of American Ninja Warrior, Akbar Gbaja-Biamila believes that the Silver and Black are a team on the rise.

"Now you're starting to see, the quarterback position solidified. They have a bona fide defensive end and linebacker in Khalil Mack. They've got Amari Cooper. I've already mentioned [Derek] Carr, Latavius Murray. They're just a couple of spots away from just exploding on the scene."* *

NFL Insider for NFL Network Ian Rapoport thinks that in 2016 the Raiders should be contending for the AFC West crown.

"I think next year, I don't want to get into too much prognostications or predictions or whatever, but this is a team, when you look at – obviously we have the draft and free agency, and the Raiders have some many to spend, this is a team that should go into next year with a very realistic chance at a division title."
