The Rattlers stopped Sunrise Mountain on a play from the 10-yard line with 3 seconds to secure the win. Coach Pacheco and Mojave High School moved to 2-0 on the season following the victory.

The Las Vegas Raiders have named Desert Oasis High Football Coach Brant Smith as the first recipient in 2021 of the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week. Smith, in his first year as varsity head football coach at Desert Oasis, led the Diamondbacks to a hard-fought 9-8 non-conference win over Spring Valley last Thursday in the season opener for both teams. Desert Oasis got a game-winning 42-yard field goal late in the third quarter.
