The victory moved Douglas to 6-2, 2-1 in the Class 5A Division II North League.

The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Coronado High School head coach, Shawn Dupris, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Coronado High School defeated Liberty High School 47-7 in their 5A Division I League game. The Cougars forced five turnovers, returning three for touchdowns, and limited Liberty to 162 yards of offense. It's the first win for the Cougars against their Henderson rival since 2007, snapping a 16-game losing streak.

The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Durango High School head coach, Robert, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Durango High School defeated Centennial High School 32-25 in their 5A Division III Southern League Opener. Durango had a pair of interceptions returned for touchdowns and scored two special teams touchdowns to pull out the win over Centennial.

The Mojave football team trailed Virgin Valley 16-0 with about eight minutes to play Friday night but rallied to force overtime and won.

Coach Barnett took over as head coach of the Arbor View High School football program this season and this week's win is his first win as head coach of the program.
