Three Oakland Raiders appear on NFL Network's Top 100 Players countdown

NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2018 countdown wrapped up Monday night – New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was No. 1 in case you were wondering – and while there was no Silver and Black representation on the finale, when all was said and done, three Oakland Raiders made the list.

Checking in first at No. 85 was linebacker Bruce Irvin, who once again put together another solid season in Oakland, tallying eight sacks and four forced fumbles in 2017.

After Irvin tweeted out his gratitude for the nod, No. 51's teammates chimed in, congratulating the versatile defender for his accomplishment.

The next Raider to appear on the list was the team's franchise quarterback, Derek Carr, who checked in at No. 60.

It's no secret that the 2017 season didn't go quite to plan for the Silver and Black, but although the team didn't reach the goals they set forth for themselves, Carr once again enjoyed another impressive season under center.

At season's end, No. 4 had thrown for 3,496 yards and 22 touchdowns, en route to yet another Pro Bowl nod.

However, as good as Carr was in 2017, he wasn't the highest-ranked Raider on NFL Network's list; nope, that honor goes to All-Pro defensive end Khalil Mack, who earned the No. 16 spot on the countdown.

Mack was once again a dominant force off the edge in 2017. His 10.5 sacks were a Raiders best, and although he was routinely double – or even triple – teamed, No. 52 still found a way to make the game a living nightmare for opposing quarterbacks.

The Top 100 Players countdown is now dormant until next year, but congratulations to Irvin, Carr and Mack for their well-deserved honor on this edition.
