Throwback Thursday - Kaufman Rushes for 227 Yards

For this week's Throwback Thursday, we take a look at RB Napoleon Kaufman's record-setting day against the Denver Broncos on October 19, 1997. Kaufman broke Bo Jackson's previous single-game rushing record (221) with 227 yards.

Kaufman recorded 28 rushing attempts for 227 yards and one touchdown in the 28-25 victory over the Broncos. His longest run of the day went for 83 yards and a touchdown. The Raiders first round pick (18th overall) of the 1995 draft out of the University of Washington, finished that 1997 season with 1,294 rushing yards, six touchdowns and he added 403 receiving yards and two score.

In his six-year career with the Raiders, Kaufman played in 91 games, starting 46, and totaled 4,792 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, 127 receptions, 1,107 receiving yards, and five receiving touchdowns.
