Centennial High School, DJ Cambell
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Centennial High School head coach, DJ Cambell, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Centennial (4-3) defeated Palo Verde (3-5) 26-24
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Provo High School (Utah) head coach, Kirk Chambers, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Provo (4-4) defeated Park City (4-4) 17-14 in the region 8 4A Utah High School football matchup.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named McQueen High School (Reno) head coach, Matt Marner, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after McQueen (4-2) defeated Reno (3-3) 37-36 in overtime to defeat the Huskies. After McQueen got out to a 27-8 lead late in the third quarter, the Huskies stormed back to tie the game at 30 and send it into overtime. The Lancers prevailed in overtime, taking a 37-36 win in the rivalry game.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Green Valley High School head coach, Bill Powell, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Green Valley (2-2) defeated Basic (2-3) 42-40, to win the annual Henderson Bowl rivalry game. Quarterback Michael Lewis passed for two touchdowns and rushed for another on Friday, as Green Valley grabbed a late lead and held on for the victory.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Desert Oasis High School head coach, Matt Rosdahl, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Desert Oasis (2-2) defeated Green Valley (1-2) 14 – 13. Vincent Hales completed 14 of 19 passes for 214 yards and a TD to lift the Diamondbacks over Green Valley.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Sierra Vista High School head coach, Thomas Raybon, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Sierra Vista (2-2) rallied to score two touchdowns in the fourth quarter and defeated Desert Oasis (1-2) 23-16 in the "Bell Game" at home.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Silverado High School head coach, Tony Barilla, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Silverado High School (1-0 0) broke its 18-game losing streak in a big way with a 69-40 home win over Spring Valley, which was No. 1 in the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Class 4A rankings.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Foothill High School head coach, Vernon Brown, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Foothill High School (1-1), defeated defending 4A State Champions, Mojave High School (0-1), 34 – 28 in their second game of the season. Foothill linebacker Taevin P. forced a fumble to set up the game-winning score to help the host Falcons defeat Mojave.
Basic Academy of International Studies, Jeff Cahill
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Basic High School head coach, Jeff Cahill, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Basic High School (1-0), defeated Canyon Springs (0-1), 35 – 6 in their opening game of the season. Quarterback, Jayveon R. passed for a touchdown and rushed for another Friday, and Coach Cahill's son, Louden, had a TD reception and hit both of his field-goal attempts for the Wolves.
