Virgin Valley High School Head Coach Bowler

Virgin Valley High School Head Coach Bowler

Coach Bowler has been coaching high school girls flag football at Virgin Valley High School since it made its Nevada debut in the 2012-2013 school year. This season, Coach Bowler finished the regular season with an 19-1 record. The Bulldogs have played in the last seven 3A state championship games and won their 4th consecutive in the first high school girls state championship game at Allegiant Stadium. Coach Bowler was surprised with the news during a school assembly. In partnership with Microsoft, coach and the team was gifted with a custom Raiders Xbox.

Palo Verde won the Mustang Rodeo tournament hosted by Shadow Ridge High School. In the tournament they defeated Pinecrest Cadence 13-0, Reigning 4A state champions, Coronado High School 12-6, and SECTA 6-0. In the Championship game, in a rematch of last years 5A state championship, Palo Verde defeated Shadow Ridge High School 14-18.

Last week SECTA played 4 games and won three of them. The defense gave up no more than 8 points in any of those games. Their only loss on that stretch was by 1 point to Arbor View High School. SECTA has started the season 11-3. Last season the team finished the season 13-11

Mojave played and won all three of their games last week including two shut outs, 44-0 over Desert Pines, 46-0 over Spring Valley and only allowed 6 points to Durango.

Coach Bowler led his team to a 3-0 record to begin the flag football season. He then hosted the Lady Bulldog Invitational Tournament with 22 Clark County High School teams participating. The Lady Bull Dogs made it to the semi final game of the tournament before falling to the eventual champions.
